    On Monday July, 23rd we officially launched Tarmac TX 2018! Our program couldn’t be more excited to host nine amazing startups at Capital Factory for the next nine months! We are looking forward to great things: 3M mentors, pitch events, speakers, workshops, etc!

  • 7/2/2018- Tarmac TX Selects its 2018 Cohort

    Tarmac TX is excited to announce that nine startups have officially agreed to join the 2018 social good tech accelerator program in Austin, Texas!


    From a large pool of applicants, 14 startups with a combination of innovative technology and a social impact mission were invited to pitch their presentation on June 28th at 3M’s Innovation Center in Austin, Texas. A jury of accomplished individuals from 3M and the Austin startup community selected 8 diverse startups with the most potential to join the third edition of Tarmac TX. A previous startup, Leaf and Flour, was selected to join Tarmac TX 2018 through a reverse pitch competition hosted by the City of Austin. All startups will begin the program on July 23rd, 2018.

  • 10/11/17 - Tarmac TX's Women in Tech for Good Competition #ASW

    Tarmac TX’s Women in Tech for Good Competition took place at WeWork Domain on the 11th of October in the middle of Austin's Startup Week. This event sponsored by 3M & Dell aimed at celebrating women entrepreneurs whose business have a strong social or environmental positive impact on our Society and/ or Planet.

    The pitch competition gathered 5 startups founded or co-founded by women: KinTrans, GuideChange, DiversityFund, Unaliwear and Idego . They pitched in front of a jury composed of Ann Fornof from 3M, Amanda Cayo from Dell, cofounder of re3D Samantha Snabes, and CEO of Risu Maria Nascimento.

    The winner of the competition, GuideChange, an online platform preventing elderly people from being financially abused, will be soon provided with one free month of acceleration at Tarmac TX, i.e.:
    - 2 hours of individual coaching;
    - 2 hours of mentoring with a 3M employee;
    - Access to our classes, workshops, events and networking opportunities;
    - 1-month free access to Galvanize coworking space;
    - 1-year free access to Impact Network’s online platform (global network of entrepreneurs gathering 500+ startups in 20 countries).
